Volunteer Committee Chair DescriptionsCAR WASH CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for all phases of the event, including securing the location, coordinating volunteers, acquiring supplies, and collecting funds. CASINO CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for education of volunteers, coordinating with the vendor on the contractual arrangements to set up , operate, and take down the casino. CHECK-IN CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for overseeing the arrival and check in of seniors and any guests the night of the event. They will collect monies due from students who have not pre-purchased their tickets. CLEAN-UP CHAIR: Chair will be responsible coordinating volunteers who will remove all of the decorations and ensure that the school is ready for the next school day. Chair will coordinate with the school's maintenance and housekeeping staff. CLEAN-UP KITCHEN CHAIR: Chair will be responsible coordinating volunteers who will clean up the kitchen and ensure that the kitchen is ready for the next school day. Chair will coordinate with the school's maintenance and housekeeping staff. DECORATIONS CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for acquisition of decorations and for coordinating volunteers will set up of decorations for the event site. DVD GRAD NIGHT SALES: Chair will be responsible for sales of dvd before and after graduation night. After completion of the dvd, the chair will also be responsible for mailing dvd's to customers during end of June. FOOD & BEVERAGE CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for coordinating volunteers, for soliciting food and beverage donations, and will work closely with the Food Pickup Chair for the pickup and delivery of the food, beverage, paper goods and other items for the event. FOOD PICKUP CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for coordinating volunteers to pick up food and beverages the day and night of the event. GAMES CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for coordinating volunteers at all games and also obtaining and organizing the set up of the games for the event. Chair shall coordinate the dollar amount and number of cash prizes with Treasurer. LUMINARIES CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for tracking current inventory of luminaries in storage, supplying kits to local grocery stores, replenishing inventory in grocery stores as needed, collecting money from the stores where they were sold, and making new kits. MEDICAL PERSONNEL CHAIR: Chair will have a medical background and will administer first-aid as needed during the event. PUBLICITY CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for contacting local newspapers and online media to get articles published regarding OG events. RUN THRU THE WOODS CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for coordinating with the YMCA who hosts the Run Thru The Woods event on Thanksgiving day. OG receives a donation from this event. SECURITY CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for coordinating volunteers who will be posted at pre-designated spots the night of the event. Chair will coordinate event security with the OG President and/or Vice Presidents and on duty CISD officers. TICKET SALES CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for all phases of pre-event and event night tickets sales to students of the senior class. VOLUNTEERS CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for the OG volunteer data base, recruiting and managing volunteers for all aspects of OG, and checking in volunteers who will be working the night of the event. Good computer and communication skills are necessary. WEB MANAGER CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for the OG website with assistance from the Executive Board. WOODLANDS HOME TOUR CONCESSIONS CHAIR: Chair will be responsible for coordinating volunteers and purchasing and selling food for concession stand. The Woodlands hosts a home tour over two weekends. |
