Operation Graduation
College Park High School
OPERATION GRADUATION - CLASS OF 2008
After a full year of planning, preparing and fundraising for Operation Graduation ’08 we are just about set for the biggest celebration ever. While this is our first year at College Park this organization, comprised of concerned parents and community members, has been involved with OG for the past 20 years here in The Woodlands. We are proud to say that we have provided a safe, drug and alcohol free celebration for graduating seniors, which brings in around 90% of the senior class. Because of Operation Graduation, these students have an incredible chance to celebrate together in an amazing fun-filled environment…keeping them off the highways where bad choices can bring deadly results. Graduation night is statistically known for high teenage death rates and this is not a choice we accept at College Park. Help us keep these students in the right place on May 30th.
To make this happen, we need your support now!
Operation Graduation needs the support of all senior parents. To provide the type of activities that these students will enjoy for many hours, as well as continuous entertainment, food and prizes, we need greater financial support. Each year we have asked that our senior families contribute a donation of at least $25.00. Our schools strongly support this annual event, but this is a parent-sponsored celebration that costs from $80-100 per student. The senior dues did not include this event. While this is not a mandatory donation, this money will provide the working capitol needed to ensure another successful year. (This is strictly a donation and is not your student’s admission to this party.) Donations payable to CP Operation Graduation (Federal Tax ID # 76-0331063) & mailed to:

Would you also:
Volunteer: While we certainly don’t want our senior parents to have to volunteer following graduation, it does takes hundred’s of people to make all this happen. Most volunteers come back year after year since it is as much fun for them, as it is for all the students! It is truly great to be part of their last big senior celebration. Volunteers are desperately needed & you can get more info. from Nancy Bowman at 281-363-4625.
Donate a prize or bottled water: You can drop off a case of water marked “Op.Grad” to McCullough Jr. High by May 28 or even donate a prize. Contact Lori Maurice at azpace@aol.com for prize donations.
Please take the time to do something now, so plans can be completed for this event. Put a check in the mail today…the success of this event depends on parent support and involvement. Thank you for your help in advance. We look forward to another amazing Operation Graduation event with the Class of 2007 TWCP graduates on May 30.
Most sincerely,
The Woodlands Operation Graduation 2007 Board
